POPS designs, fits, and manufactures orthotics and prosthetics for children, ranging from infants to teenagers and young adults. These devices—such as shoe inserts, braces, and artificial limbs (for both arms and legs)—offer essential support, enabling children to reach their full potential and chase their dreams, whether that means swimming in a race, throwing a baseball, playing an instrument, or simply keeping up with their friends.

Shriners Children’s provides specialized pediatric care regardless of a family’s insurance status or financial ability to cover treatment costs. In 2025, Shriners Children’s Northern California cared for over 13,000 children, performed more than 2,500 surgeries, and facilitated over 31,000 outpatient visits.
